Zhangjiajie is larger than most people expect, and its highlights are spread across more than one area. This itinerary splits the two big zones, Tianmen Mountain and Wulingyuan, and ends with a night in the old town of Fenghuang.

The real bottleneck here is queueing for cable cars and park buses. We enter early, shift the busiest sections to quieter time slots, and use the Bailong Elevator so you spend more time on the peaks and less time standing in line.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Zhangjiajie

Your guide meets you at Hehua Airport or the rail station. You settle in near the city and have your first meal at an easy pace.

Day 2

Tianmen Mountain and the cliff walkways

Ride up early while the cable-car line is short. See Tianmen Cave and the plank walk pinned to the cliff, then cross the glass walkway on the way down.

Day 3

The heart of Wulingyuan

Enter Wulingyuan early and head straight for the Yuanjiajie viewpoints. Take the Bailong Elevator up, walk among the pillar peaks, and continue toward Yangjiajie in the afternoon.

Day 4

Baofeng Lake and Fenghuang

Cruise Baofeng Lake in the morning, between cliffs and quiet water. In the afternoon drive to Fenghuang for the riverside lights and old-town lanes.

Day 5

Fenghuang morning, departure

Walk the quiet lanes of the old town at dawn, then transfer with your guide to the airport or station. Extra days can be arranged on request.

At a glance

Tianmen Mountain cable car

One of the longest lifts, running from the city up to the summit. We ride it early, before the queue builds.

Yuanjiajie viewpoints

Layers of pillar-shaped peaks in every direction. We go first thing, before the mist lifts and the crowds arrive.

Bailong Elevator

A glass lift built into the cliff face. It replaces a slow cable-car wait and shortens your time on the mountain roads.

Baofeng Lake

A lake ringed by cliffs, seen from a small boat. A calm morning outing.

Fenghuang by night

Lantern-lit houses along the Tuo River. Because we stay overnight, you also see the empty lanes at dawn.

Queue-aware routing

We reorder the zones to avoid the busiest cable-car and shuttle hours, so you wait less for the same views.

FAQ

I heard the cable-car lines are long. Is that a problem?

We avoid the peak cable-car and shuttle hours by reordering the zones, and we enter early. You cover the same route with far less waiting.

Is this suitable for parents?

We lean on lifts and vehicles to cut down the walking. There are still some steps and slopes, so we adjust the pace to your group.

Is the no-shopping promise guaranteed?

We do not include shopping centres or forced stops. If you want to visit a local market, we add it and let you decide.

I do not speak Chinese. Is that OK?

Your guide is with you throughout and handles tickets, lifts and restaurant orders in Korean.

How do I find out the price?

It depends on your dates, group size and hotel category, so we quote on request. Send us your dates and numbers on WhatsApp or WeChat.
